Australia is now enjoying an international tourism surplus after many years of Australians' wanderlust and a high dollar delivering a deficit - inbound tourism spending continues to grow while outbound tourism spending is static. Tourism-related spending of $3.8 billion was 65% of December services credit. Income from foreign tourists now matches our total rural exports.
