The five most important factors for German consumers when selecting a holiday destination are value for money (50%), safety and security (46%), food and wine (43%), world-class nature (40%) and friendly citizens (38%). While 50% of German consumers rate a destination that offers value for money as among the top five most important factors when choosing a holiday destination, Australia is ranked quite poorly with respect to this attribute. However, Australia is largely regarded as a safe and secure holiday destination with a world-class nature offering.
