Tourism Australia has signed three important strategic marketing deals in China aimed at promoting Australia to high yielding travellers and business events professionals in an overseas tourism market now valued at $5.7 billion annually. The wide-reaching, multiple marketing deals consist of partnership agreements with two major airlines - China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines - as well as with one of China's largest e-commerce companies specialising in travel services, Alibaba. The three deals will provide Tourism Australia with significant competitive advantage in a market which is being aggressively targeted by an increasing number of global tourism destinations.

Between its beaches, luxury restaurants and stores and international culture, Miami has no trouble convincing visitors to come and spend money. Its tourism board, therefore, is less concerned about telling visitors why to come and more focused on getting them to come back and stay longer. Miami has experienced record tourism as a result from growing visitation from Latin America, welcoming a record 14.2 million overnight visitors in 2014. Brazil and other regional markets contributed to the city's 7.13 million international visitors in 2014, a sector that grew 4.4% that year in comparison to nearly no growth from the domestic market. Skift recently spoke with Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO about the importance of the Latin American market, his focus on partnerships and a vision for greater cooperation between Miami and Orlando.
