Nielsen has released the findings of its latest report, detailing consumer confidence and specifically consumer concerns and spending intentions around the world. In the latest online survey, conducted between August 13 and September 5, 2014, consumer confidence increased in 39/60 markets, compared with 31 markets in the second quarter. Australia showed the most significant improvement, with confidence returning to year-ago performance. Almost half of Australians said they believe the next 12 months will be a good time to purchase the things they want and need.
