In December, 2014, destinations dressed up their content with holiday flair but didn't go too overboard with tinsel and lights on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube. Skift's list of the top ten destinations on social media contains both traditional destination marketing organisations and two park systems. Topping the list with a Skift Score of 813 is Tourism and Events Queensland, followed by Walt Disney World Resorts and Tourism Australia. These same three destinations also topped the list in November, albeit in a different order. Surprisingly, the top ten destinations weren't more proactive on social media than the month before. Audience growth on Facebook was negligible, while Instagram showed the most promise in acquiring new fans.
